In difficult market conditions, EWS is bucking the trend by letting two prime retail units within a month.
Acting on behalf of a national pubs group, EWS has let 9 Buttermarket, Ipswich to White Stuff who were advised by Orme Retail and acting on behalf of a private client, has let 18-20 Buttermarket to Viyella & Country Casuals - both national fashion retailers.
Clare Wright of EWS said: “having two new fashion retailers trading in Buttermarket is great news for Ipswich, broadening the retail range in the town and confirming that Buttermarket remains a strong retail street.
Over the last few months, and against the trend seen in many other towns and cities nationwide, Ipswich has attracted other new national retailers to the town, including I Store and Paperchase, again making Ipswich a more attractive retail destination. We remain encouraged to learn that other big retailers also want to come to the town; the difficulty remains in finding suitable space for them”.
White Stuff is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and now has over 65 shops throughout the UK. Country Casuals and Viyella have 140 stand alone stores and 200 concessions.
